Great Antler Heist

Many of you have commented on our beautiful cover for this issue, which features Shane Wilson’s sculpture, Yukon Seasons, 2003. But did you know that it was once stolen from the Canada Games Center in Whitehorse during a power outage in 2007?



Don’t worry, it was returned anonymously seven months later and suffered some slight damage but was more or less ok. (The RCMP must have been surprised to find this on their doorstep.) The sculpture was restored and returned to its home at the Canada Games Center on December 2, 2008. Crazy, ain’t it?
